Classical Guitarist For Your Wedding?
Let the warm romantic sounds of the Classical guitar provide the perfect music for your Special Day, creating an atmosphere that ensures your wedding is truly unforgettable. The Classical guitar creates soft romantic tones and its musical styles will delight any audience. There is no more ideal venue for the classical guitar and its music than a wedding or wedding reception. Whether the occasion will be large or small, formal or casual, indoor or outdoor,a professional classical guitarist has the ability to create an atmosphere of romance and love.
A typical wedding includes around fifteen minutes of prelude music while the guests are being seated, processionals for both the bridesmaids and the bride, and recessional music. The bride and groom may also want a song that is special to them to be performed during the wedding ceremony. I can play any of the standard repertoire and even provide expert advice as to the best way to plan the program for your wedding music.
What music should we use in the ceremony?
For The Ceremony 'I can play as your guests enter the room and take their seats, normally about 15 minutes before the ceremony. This creates a lovely warm atmosphere I usually start playing as the guests are arriving, a selection of calm gentle pieces reflective in nature. This music welcomes the guests and provides a background while they're being seated and as the excitement builds to the bride's entrance. However, the actual ceremony can include any musical selections you wish.
Here are a few home recordings of popular choices
The Entrance of the Bride
As the Bride walks in I can play a piece of your choice that has special meaning. This could be a popular love song, a piece of music from a show or traditional wedding music, or an arrangement of the song that was 'playing when you met'!
Special Music
If the couple wishes, music can be incorporated into other parts of the ceremony. In a civil ceremony, you can have any music you want as long as the title or lyric doesn't make any reference to religion.
During the signing of the registry
During the signing of the register, it is nice to have a couple of 'personal fond favourites'. I will be happy to find and learn any special pieces if they are not already in my repertoire. This can be anything, really. Music is used to provide a background while the couple does the paperwork. Without a specific request, I would probably go with something like, "Gymnopodie No1" (Satie) or "Romanza".
Recessional
The traditional choice when the newly-married couple leaves the altar is the upbeat and joyous in style, but again, if you have a different idea, just let me know. I will then play as everybody leaves the room, again putting the finishing touch to a wonderful ceremony
The Reception
The classical guitar can provide the perfect atmosphere for the reception. My repertoire includes music ranging from the classics to Spanish music, jazz standards, show tunes and pop arrangements--the ideal accompaniment for sipping a glass of wine and congratulating the happy newly-married couple. For the Reception/Wedding Breakfast The Classical Guitar gives a lovely background ambience for the drinks reception and the meal, whether inside or out. I can use high quality yet very small amplifiers which deliver a warm, pleasing tone without being intrusive to conversation.
Do we need you to be at the rehearsal?
As long as I have a schedule of the ceremony and your specific musical requirements, you don't need to pay me to come to the rehearsal.
Can we make a special request?
Absolutely. As long as I have advance notice, I can make an effective solo guitar arrangement of just about anything you choose.
Can you play outside?
No problem, as long as it's not raining. I can use a small amplification system that provides the perfect volume inside or out. Just make sure there's an electrical outlet within a long extension lead's distance.
What is your fee?
My usual fees are £195 for the first hour, and £65 for each additional hour. Additionally I will usually negotiate a travel allowance.
What do we do next?
It's simple--just send me an email with some details of your requirements on the contact sheet. I'll let you know if I'm available, and will certainly be delighted to help with any queries you might have. I'll email you back and we can take it from there. Alternatively you can make a booking throught an agency using the link provided.

Testimonials
...........You can tell Aidy that he played wonderfully and that we really appreciate all the effort he put into adapting the song I wanted him to played. I'm sure that finding tabs for a french-canadien song isn't something he's had to do before. Zoe
1. Did the musicians live up to your expectations? Yes and more so. I had told Aidy about a French-Canadian song that I really liked. He learned how to play it and organised an arrangement that would make the song usable for the wedding march. It was way more then I asked and the song was absolutely perfect.
2. Did the musicians behave courteously and professionally? Yes. He always replied to my emails quickly. When we meet he was very friendly and easy to talk to.
3. Would you offer us a 'quote' that sums up your feelings about your wedding music? We'd love to use this quote on our websites if that's OK. Aidy went out of his way to accomodate us. We felt our wedding music was very "personalised". You know, it wasn't simply a question of playing standard wedding music. Aidy played songs that suited our style of wedding and our personnalities.
